Welcome! Based in Boise, Idaho, Western Aircraft is the one of the West's largest aircraft services companies, offering maintenance, aircraft sales, avionics sales & installation, aircraft parts sales, FBO services, airline fueling, aircraft charters, and aircraft management . But we certainly didn't start out big.

History
Western Aircraft began as the corporate flight department for the Morrison Knudsen Corporation (MK), headquartered in Boise, Idaho, over 60 years ago. In 1957, MK responded to an overwhelming need for aircraft repair services by applying for and receiving its first FAA Certified Repair Station Certificate. During the 1980's, three more hangars were added, and the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Morrison Knudsen Corporation incorporated under the name of Western Aircraft Inc.

In 1995, Al Hilde, Jr. and Allen Hoyt purchased the company from Morrison Knudson. Over the next 12 years, the company became the world's largest PC-12 dealer and also became an Authorized Falcon Service Center among other things.

In July 2007, the company was purchased by Greenwich AeroGroup. Through the Greenwich AeroGroup we have an affiliation with Atlantic Aero Inc. On-going improvements and investments in people, training, tooling, technology and facilities have helped us to offer our customers personalized service and unsurpassed technical expertise.

Today, Going Above and Beyond
Today Western Aircraft is an authorized service center, certified aircraft repair station (FE6R532N) and worldwide distributor of parts and avionics for many of the world’s top aircraft manufacturers and OEM’s such as Dassault Falcon, Pilatus, Hawker, Beechcraft, King Air, Honeywell and Collins. Physical Plant Information

• Western Aircraft has five major hangars totaling 120,000 square feet of space, not including office area. Our ramp and line services can easily handle the largest of aircraft.
• We have a large Parts Sales department, which prides itself in distributing the right part faster and easier than anyone else in the world. Western carries over 20,000 line item parts, totaling over $18 million in inventory.
• Our Line Service/FBO, an AvFuel branded FBO, pumps over 18 million gallons of fuel annually.
• Our ramp has 260,000 square feet of ramp space and can accommodate the largest corporate or military aircraft.
• Other facilities: heated hangar space, a private terminal with a comfortable pilot’s lounge, executive conference room and flight planning area.

Services Offered

Western Aircraft is an AvFuel branded, full-service FBO located at the Boise Air Terminal (KBOI) offering complete line services. With concierge-style services, we are happy to coordinate your ground transportation, hotel accommodations, gourmet catering, and more!

Our highly-trained line service technicians ensure the safety and security of your aircraft while maintaining passenger convenience. Our facility includes 260,000 square feet of ramp space approximate to the FBO and a beautifully appointed terminal stocked with both passenger and crew amenities.

With an FAA-certified Class 4 repair facility onsite, Western Aircraft is also a convenient place to have maintenance, repair and upgrade work performed. Pets are always welcome!
